We Have A Tooth!! And An Explanation For All The Fussing :)

Good job Abigail. You're now the proud owner of your first tooth. It's on the lower left front of her little gums and sharp as a razor! We've explored new foods too...bananas and apples. She's still making more of a mess than actually consuming much of it, but we try twice a day nonetheless. She's still not technically "crawling", but she manages to squirm and scoot around pretty good. I think she might be by-passing the whole crawling thing and jump right into walking/running!

Here's some pics of her week:

No, I don't feed her a whole apple. But she loves to play with the one that mom is eating.

Turns out it was a great ploy to get a shot of that new little tooth! She HATES it when I try to see it, much less get a pic of it.

We also recently discovered the fun of static electricity. Paw Paw would be proud that it didn't take a Barbie Doll for this little one to make that discovery.

She's so crazy!

Her new interests include all sorts of musical instruments. Mostly drums, but I made her a maraca out of orzo pasta and a breast milk vile! Whatever works, right?

Almost Mobile!

Okay, so I'm completely obsessed with Abigail progressing towards mobility...I know, I know, I'll wish she wasn't mobile after it happens, but that doesn't lessen my excitement for her.

One second sitting and reading a book...the next second pulling up on the nearest stationary object!

Almost there!

Abby loves her Piglet that her Whitehead cousins gave her - gotta love stuffed animals that are as big as you are!

Just Some Cute Pics

Not much going on right now. Just thought I'd put up some cute pics of the girl.

We're on to sweet peas!! She loves them.

A face only a mother could love! And father, I'm told!

There's my girl, all cleaned up now. Nice hair, huh? Bad mommy forgot to brush it after the's fun to see what it's going to do.

"I know about the armadillo!"

So sweet! My two loves.

Yo homey, where's my bottle?

Now, that's better. This picture makes it look like she has two bottom teeth. Not so much...just drool reflecting off the flash, I s'pose.

Abby, never happier, in her walker-bouncer-thingy. Lovely old-man-gummy-smile!

She's a monster! Notice how everything else in the picture is still except for Mrs. Energy!
She soooo fun!

Abby's First Christmas!!

Well busy times lead to less blog time. We're finally catching up with life, so here's some pics from Abby's first Christmas, her first highchair experience, her first friend's birthday party and her STANDING in her crib. Look out... she's doing more than I can keep up with. WARNING: this is a long one (sts):

Abby says, "Who's the fat guy holding me?"

We got back from our travels a couple of days before Christmas day, so we went cheap...rosemary bushes shaped like Christmas decorated with our Texas ornaments and one decorated with our family ornaments! We'll plant them in the spring and cook with them for a long time hopefully! Yummo! Here's one of Abby sporting her "First Christmas" onesie from Andrea Fallin:

Abby doesn't seem to mind the little trees. She's sported her new outfit from Sandy "Sandman" Fraley to open her gifts:

Abby opening a Baby Beethoven DVD from Grams...completely captivates her daily...and the wrapping paper tastes great, too!

Abby says "Gimme my present from Aunt Jane already!"

Mmmm...Christmas present. Of course she's more interested in eating the gift than what the gift is...but Abby bloomers are awesome!

Abby loving her "Leap Pad" from Eric's family. She'll be reading and enjoying the music for a long time.

Abby at her first birthday party...wondering why the birthday girl, Hayden Blom, is enjoying a cupcake and she isn't...soon, little girl, soon.

Please Hayden, just one bite?

I wanna try this too! Maybe I'll get a cupcake.

Trying out the new highchair from Grams...Rats! It's just sweet potatoes.

Got sweet potatoes?

Hanging out with daddy on the couch watching some bowl games...loves her football!

Night, night, Abigail!

And last, but not least, Abby standing in her crib...6 months old and ready to run. I think she's going to skip crawling all together. Way to go, shortie!

And I couldn't resist...two random cute pics. Hopefully I'll find time to update this sooner next time! We hope everyone has a safe and blessed new year!
