Adventure With Mom

1200 miles in a car with a two year old...not recommended!  Abby was a super trooper through it all...four different rooms (a.k.a. "new houses") in a month, new babysitter, crazy hours.  She really did great and made this TDY possible.  There were some perks - having Grams as a nanny for 10 days, seeing Uncle Bob and Aunt Sharon, cousins Jen, Jeff, Lilly, and Camille, Uncle Rodney and Aunt Mary...I think her first trip to the Ark-La-Tex was a success.  The only thing missing was daddy.  We miss you so much darlin'.  Can't wait to be together again.

Three little girls and a big hog!  Abby with her cousins Lilly and Camille at Barksdale AFB, LA.  (Yes, it was her idea for Capri pants and cowboy boots:-)

Abby with her Uncle Rodney at the lake house in Walker's Creek, Arkansas.

She wouldn't sit still for a picture with Aunt Mary, so this was the best we could do.  BTW, she was asleep about 5 min after this picture!

The girl outside our 4th home in a month!  She looks so old in this picture.

On her favorite turtle at the carousel in Bossier City.

A special treat from cousin Jennifer - pink and purple toe nails!

Lilly tearing it up on the soccer field!

Way to go Lils!

On the hunt!

Snow in AZ

Here's some pics of snow at our house and then some of Abby playing in a lot of snow up in the White Mountains of AZ.  I didn't realize at the time of purchase, but when you buy things for your child at separate times, it's best to keep in mind what the end product will look like.  Turns out her hat, gloves and boots did a little more than accent her pink and orange snow suit.  Yikes!

Our backyard after that strange white stuff that most Arizonans never see!

Just a random picture of happy Abby

So excited to play in the snow.

Snowball fight!

Holy pink batman!  Just call me the pepto girl!  Oops :) Don't worry Andrea, it's in the mail to you ;-)

Ready to hit the slopes...head first!
 Now that's better!
Now that's even better!  Daddy along for the ride!
 Hold on girl!
Wouldn't be complete without making a snow angel and snow man.

Now I Know My ABC's...

She still has issues with "L"(tricky letter), and glosses over "M, N, O, P".  If I ask her about them, she says, "I don't LIKE those letters mama.".  I guess part of the beauty of being 2 is that the world is how you see it.  More power to you little girl!

Feb in AZ

Our big vacation to Scottsdale was a nice, relaxing break!  Abby loved the heated pool that washed up against a beach, although man-made (shhhh, we didn't tell her we weren't at "the beach")!

We found a fun parade through downtown Scottsdale!

Sharing an ice-cream with Dad.

A parade AND a bouncy castle....score!

At the "beach side" resort.

Abby making a pizza in the kitchen at the Phoenix Children's Museum.

Painting the castle at the museum.

More beach time with some newly made friends.

So sweet.

Going To See Daddy Flying His Warthog

Abby and I took a trip out to the bombing range near Ajo, AZ to see daddy drop bombs and fire the gun.  She was happy - waving and saying "Hi Dada!" and "Good bombs daddy!"...until, that is, it was time to strafe with the 30mm Gatling gun.  Describing it as LOUD doesn't really do it justice.  Abby was slightly terrified.  I put her in the car so it wasn't as loud and managed to snap a few pics.  Hopefully I'll get some video from some friends soon.  I threw in some pictures of Abby in mama's helmet.  Since I only fly once a week, and sometimes with other squadrons, I had to bring home my flying gear.  Abby liked it.

Thad is #3...that's 3rd from the right!

Abby excited to help daddy build her bookshelf!

Good job guys!  Project complete.  Playroom less messy!

 Wearing mama's helmet.

 Ready to go fly!

Our friend Crystal's (Uma) birthday.  She's an Aggie also so Abby (held by Cori, our friend Spaz's 10 yr old) is showing off her 12th man spirit!

Our Singing, Dancing Girl

Abby has a doll named Violet that allows us to download songs she likes and her name.  She got it for her birthday last year, but just now realizes how fun it can be.  Here's a clip of her dancing and singing with Violet. I laugh everytime the song ends and she freezes with her hands up.
