Easter And Some Other Fun Abby Pics

Check out Abby in her Easter duds! Our roses are in full bloom and Sunday was a beautiful day. Enjoy:
Abby Rose in the rose garden in our backyard. So pretty.

Uh, oh. Here comes Maggie!

Happy Abby dancing to her Winnie the Pooh music in her Elmo duds that Brooklyn got her!

Sad Abby after the music stops...hopefully she got some of the musical Faust/Reddick genes!

Fun Times In Korea (Warning: Not Many Abby Pics)

Okay, so we're guilty! We took advantage of some babysitting opportunities in Korea and got to live some of our pre-Abby days. Would've been great except for those tugging, nagging motherly/fatherly feelings that she might be doing something amazing that we're missing....or she's screaming her head off at the babysitter...or she's sleeping and we're missing out on some precious sleep. Ugh. It's too much! But we actually were able to have a little fun:

Brooklyn, Anna, Thad and Cole enjoying our St. Paddy Day "Soju Kettle". Soju is a rice liquor that probably tastes like poo...which is why they mix it with other stuff.

The other stuff just so happens to glow in the dark - thanks Korea!

Anna trying to out-do Thad with a Guinness mustache...I'm soooooo glad Mustache March is OVER!

The Osan gang celebrating Cole and Brooklyn's One Year Anniversary! Nice mustaches!

At the Club after a long Friday at work - for the Draggins!

Celebrating our last Friday night together at the O'Club. I miss you, baby.

One last parting shot...a family pic at the "Italian restaurant" in Osan. We miss you Thad.

Home Again Missing Daddy

Okay, so it's not the most flattering photo, but can you believe this monster?!? Look at all those teeth! I'm amazed everyday at how fast she grows and changes. She had SO much fun with daddy and will NOT stop saying "Da da da da da da da". Then I say, "How about Mama?" She usually starts laughing hysterically and says "da da". Oh well. My day will come. Patience grasshopper.

This is the first photo I got because the only way I usually see the top teeth is when I hang her upside down. I don't know much about kid stuff, but I do know that hanging your child upside down and taking a picture at the same time is not safe. So we opted for daddy's plastic couch and a LOT of tickling.

A good shot of the new and improved "Chubby Abby"

My two favorite girls in all of Korea

What better time to have her first haircut than with daddy there to help?? Abby says, "I know you're not coming near me with those scissors!"

Around Osan And Trip To Seoul

Abby and I have had such a good visit with Thad. We've mostly hung out around Songtan and Osan, but we did brave the drive "up the Big One" to Seoul. There are a ton of good restaurants in Songtan - German, Thai, Italian and, of course, Korean. Yummo! As you can imagine there are also a variety of bars and there just happens to be more than a few babysitters to be had. Yipee (especially for mom)!

Our trip to Seoul was nice. We stayed on base at the "resort" at Yongsan, the Army base in Seoul. The resort has at least 4 nice places to eat and a strip of restaurants and bars right outside the base as well. No shortage of places to wine and dine ourselves. It's been great...and Abby has really been a trooper through it all. Most of the time a waiter or establishment owner will instantly fall in love with her and spend a large portion of the time we are there playing with her. Yes, Koreans look even goofier when they are trying to make a baby smile.

In Seoul we also visited the Korean War Museum and Memorial and the Gyeongbok Palace. The War Memorial had an outdoor exhibit of lots of US and Soviet aircraft, tanks, missiles and memorials. We were able to go into the Palace (originally built in 1395). It has been destroyed several time over the years, mostly by the Japanese, but rebuilt to look the same.
Disembarking our glorious Kimchi Car and off to discover Seoul!

Off to the palace first

Whew! All that sightseeing sure did make us thirsty. Luckily we found an Irish Pub celebrating the upcoming St. Paddy's day

The service in Korea is kind of slow, so Abby wasn't able to stay awake long enough to help us celebrate!

I guess it's up to mom and dad to drink the green beer and Guinness!

A quick snack in our hotel room and then it's off to the museum

"Um, mom, what have you done with me?"

Together Again!

Our little family was reunited after a long 2 months of living off of web cam. Abby is starting to realize that daddy doesn't live in the computer after all. She did GREAT on the long trip over - more like 13 hours instead of 10 - plus the 2 hours to San Fran! She slept a good chunk of the overseas flight away in a bassinet that Singapore Airlines graciously offered. LIFESAVER! The few hours that she was awake on the plane we passed with walks up and down the isle...only to be stopped every few steps by the Koreans and Malaysians - who apparently LOVE American babies.

Here's some pics of the trip:
Mmmm. Travelling tastes good.

Waiting for the 777 to get to the gate in San Francisco

I'm not sure why I bothered to put her play mat down when she plays everywhere but on it

Abby on the lookout for our plane

Abby sleeping the long flight away - thankfully. All of the airport playing pays off!!!

Abby and Thad - the long wait is over!

Brooklyn and Abby (trying hard to get over some serious jet lag)

Abby hanging out in daddy's Q - thanks to the Willis' for the bouncy - entertainment at it's finest.

Off To Korea

Well Abigail is 8 months old now and it's high time she travels overseas! She'll be able to add her Asian adventures to her vast world knowledge and experience! If mom survives the 10 hour flight from San Fransisco to Seoul, she'll be sure and update the blog with Abby in Korea. For now, here's some of her kickin' around the house and showing off some of her new hairdos. Her hair is long enough to get in her eyes, but I don't want to cut it until I can tell what the heck it's going to do. So for now it goes up in different flavors of hardware...

She's up to something. I'm just not sure what.

IIII'm too sexy for my sweet potatoes, too sexy for my sweet potatoes... too sexy..

Her shirt says, "I still live with my parents!". Too funny. Thanks B and Cole! See you soon.
